Supa Blast Hose

Clemco Supa blast hose is standard equipment on all Contractor Series Blast Machines. Supa hose is lighter and more flexible than 2-braid or 4-ply blast hose of the same ID. It can be used with all common blast media. Supa hose achieves its lightness and flexibility from its slightly thinner outer casing. The inner tube is made from SBR rubber.

Advantages:

  • Inner tube wall of SBR rubber treated with static-dissipating compound.
  • Reinforced outer casing of cloth and rubber-impregnated fiber winding.
  • Casing is pin-pricked to prevent formation of air pockets between layers.
  • More flexible than 2-braid or 4-ply blast hose.
  • Lighter weight and slightly smaller OD make it a better whip hose.

2-Braid Blast Hose

Two-braid hose is used in industrial settings where external scuffing is expected. It can be used with all common blast media. Clemco 2-braid blast hose has a durable outer casing and is more flexible than 4-ply hose.

Advantages:

  • More durable outer casing than Supahose.
  • Inner tube wall of SBR rubber treated with static-dissipating compound, up to 5/16-inch thick depending upon hose size.
  • Two-layer outer casing of cloth and rubber-impregnated fiber winding.
  • Casing is pin-pricked to prevent formation of air pockets between layers.
  • More flexible than 4-ply blast hose

4-Ply Blast Hose

4-ply blast hose is used in industrial settings where external scuffing and occasional light vehicle traffic is expected. It can be used with all common blast media.

Advantages:

  • 4-ply hose has a durable outer casing compared to 2-braid and Supa hose.
  • Inner tube wall of 1/4-inch thick SBR rubber treated with static-dissipating compound.
  • Four-layer outer casing of cloth and rubber-impregnated fiber winding.
  • Casing is pin-pricked to prevent formation of air pockets between layers.

RLX Pneumatic Control Handle

Control handle for remote activation and deactivation of an abrasive blast machine. Fail-to-safe system stops blasting if operator drops or loses control of the handle. For use with Clemco remote control systems only.

OSHA regulations require remote controls on all abrasive blast machines. Pneumatic remote control systems operate efficiently with up to 100 feet of twinline control hose. Electric remote control systems operate efficiently at distances up to 500 feet. For distances greater than 300 feet, special remote control cable is required.

Advantages:

  • Meets OSHA requirement for remote control system.
  • Relatively inexpensive.
  • Twinline hose cannot be connected incorrectly.
  • Simple design is easy to service.

High Volume Compressed Air Coalescent Filter

Portable 800-cfm capacity Coalescent Filter removes water from the compressed air supply for multiple blast machines and other pneumatic tools requiring a dry, high-volume air supply.

Two 6-inch wheels and a rigid handle allow one person to move the Coalescent Filter along a smooth, level surface. The filter has one outlet and a manual petcock to drain accumulated moisture.

Blast Hose Safety Cable

Clemco blast hose safety cables are used at all coupled connections on the blast hose. The cables support the weight of the blast hose to keep it from pulling the couplings apart or pulling the hose out of the coupling. The cables also help keep the blast hose from whipping about in the event of a coupling failure. Safety cables should also be used with compressed-air hose connections.

Advantages:

  • Helps prevent death, injury, or property damage in the event of coupling failure.
  • Supports blast hose when run vertically or across horizontal spans.
  • Prolongs life of hose by keeping coupling screws from tearing outer casing.
  • Installs quickly without tools at all air and blast hose connections — including those between the hose and blast machine.
  • Prevents hose from whipping in event of coupling failure.

Blast Machine Screens & Covers

Blast machine screens and covers help keep contaminants from entering the blast machine.

Recessed screens keep out particles larger than 1/4-inch diameter. Steel covers fit on top of the blast machine (with or without the recessed screen in place) to keep out rain.

Moisture interferes with most blast media and cause blockages in the blast machine valves and plumbing.
